The Jaguar F-Type sports car was launched in 2013 and is the latest in Jaguar's traditional high perfomance cars. It represents the first all-new Jaguar sports car since the legendary E-Type that was in production between 1961 and 1974. The F-Type is simply stunning in appearance and, not surprisingly, won the 2013 World Car Design of the Year.
It comes in a choice of powerful supercharged engines in either 3.0 litre V6 (340hp and 380hp) or 5.0 litre V8 (495hp and 550hp). The transmission features an impressive 8-speed 'Quickshift' automatic transmission with manual shift control via steering-wheel paddles. A shift lever on the centre console, the Jaguar SportShift Selector, also offers full Auto mode and manual operation in Sports mode.
The F-Type has an aluminium body and all-round forged aluminium double-wishbone front and rear suspension with adaptive damping. Adaptive Dynamics instinctively optimizes the car to surface conditions and your driving style. Adjustable suspension settings allow the driver to adjust ride and handling. It has a total of 25 different driving modes programmed to suit different road conditions and driving styles.
