The second generation Range Rover Sport made its debut in March 2013 and is one of the best large SUVs. It's even sportier than its predecessor and comes in a 3.0L V6 diesel or 3.0L V6 petrol engine and a 5.0L V8 petrol engine all paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0L V6 340hp supercharged petrol engine is the same one fitted to the new Jaguar XJ and XF models and the 2014 Range Rover.
The new Range Rover Sport switches over to an all-aluminium unibody frame making it 360kg lighter with a kerb weight of 2144.1kg and with an extra 7 inches of wheelbase facilitating the option for a third-row seat. The fuel saving engine stop-start feature is standard on all models as is the improved Terrain Response System 2 that analyzes the terrain and automatically optimises the vehicle settings accordingly. This system is similar to the one featured on the latest Range Rover.
A fully independent suspension along with a next-generation air suspension system offering four different ride heights allows for a superb ride quality. The latest Range Rover Sport presents all the amenities of a luxury sedan and, without skipping a beat, combines this with unbeatable off-road perfomance complete with the go-anywhere abilities synonymous with Land Rover models.
