The Jaguar XK8/R (development code X100) was the first generation of a new XK series. With its low stance and graceful lines it's surely one of the best looking Jaguars ever built. The XK8 was available in coupé or convertible body styles. It was manufactured at the Castle Bromwich factory in Birmingham UK.
The Jaguar XK is fitted with Jaguar's second generation Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) unit. The supple suspension, easy acceleration and precise steering makes it a dream car to drive. Production continued until 2005 with just over 91,000 units built giving way to it's successor the Jaguar X150.
